When my dad, Joe Bessler, started the business in 1985, he had worked a myriad of jobs, some of which he got laid off when business would get slow. Once he found a passion for automotive recycling, he decided that he was going to create a family business where people could come to work and know they were part of something special.

A company that protects its employee’s right to make a good living, provides great benefits and makes people feel like they’re part of the family and not just a number.

    Sent me a defective differential. Warrantied it out and they sent another, but I find out that they only pay $55/hr on labor … More costs (which covers around half of the labor) and I'm going to have to pay for the warranty for the second differential as well. I'd be satisfied with the process if the first part they sent had worked for any length of time at all, but given that it was defective, I'm disappointed that they didn't make things right by covering the full cost of the second repair. On the plus side, the initial cost was quite reasonable, and the customer service is friendly and prompt.
    Edit - after speaking with Adam after his reply on the post, Bessler is making things right. Glad to see a company this responsive to customer experience!

    I sent an inquiry email about a complete engine after business hours. Immediately the next morning I got a great call from Billy … More at Besslers. He told of there family
    operation and then asked about my inquiry. He found a great engine for me and gave me the choice of it or the one still in a vehicle. For simplicity I went with the one out in stock. He gave me an out the door price and even helped me on pricing in my range and a warranty I didn’t expect. I will definitely do business in the future with Billy at Besslers since it was the best experience I ever had at a salvage or used part warehouse. This family company cares about it customers!
